| Description | The practice was established in 1770 by Edward Lawson in Bridge Street, Morpeth, Northumberland. Mr. Lawson was joined by Henry Brumell in 1799 and throughout the 19th century various members of the Brumell family carried on the practice. In 1900 Harold Ward Sample joined the partnership and the firm has been known as Brumell & Sample ever since. In 1984 it amalgamated with Charles Alderson & Son, another long established Morpeth firm of solicitors. |
